HU-210
HU-210 is a cannabinoid synthesized from (1R,5S)-mortenol and is 100-800 times more potent than THC from natural cannabis and has a longer lasting effect on the body. HU-210 was first synthesized in 1988 by a group of chemists led by Raphael Mechulam at Hebrew University.
The structure of HU-210 is (-)-1,1-dimethylheptyl, an analog of 11-hydroxy- Δ8- tetrahydrocannabinol (1,1-dimethylheptyl- 11-hydroxytetrahydrocannabinol). HU-210 is a (-) enantiomer of 11-OH-D8-THC-DMH and has high cannabinoid activity, with a binding affinity of 0.061 nM to CB1 and 0.52 nM to CB2. HU-210 may have anti-anxiety and antidepressant effects, is involved in the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease inflammation, and is a potent analgesic.
HU-210 is banned for sale in New Zealand and banned for sale in several states in the US (Florida, Alabama).
